D&B Chartered Professional Accountants LLP is a professional services firm dedicated to providing exceptional service and sound technical advice to all of our clients.
Although boutique in size, we pride ourselves in being a full service professional accounting firm, offering a wide array of professional services from corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory services, to full assurance services including audit, review and compilation engagements.
During our many years of serving private owner-managed businesses, we've come to appreciate that the finances and business affairs of the company are interdependent with that of its ownership group. We understand the necessity of this relationship, and have extensive experience in providing integrated assurance, tax and advisory services to meet the individual and combined needs of both the business and its owners.
LEADERSHIP
John Battaglia, CPA, CA
Partner
John is a CPA with over 10 years of experience in public accounting, with a specific focus in audit, assurance and accounting services. He has developed this experience while working for one of the world's largest accounting firms in a management role where he devoted substantially all of his time working with private companies and not-for-profit organizations of varying sizes.
John has extensive experience in working with private companies in several industries including Construction & Real Estate Development, Manufacturing & Automotive, Retail & Distribution, Medical Practices and Not-for-Profit Organizations.
Throughout his career, John has always had a great passion for and continued involvement in the mentoring and education process for aspiring CPA students particularly by delivering a number of core audit training and exam preparation courses. He also continues to stay active in his community by sitting on a board of a local not-for-profit organization.
John is currently leading the firm's Accounting & Assurance practice, and specializes in financial statement preparation, financial statement audits and financial statement review engagements.
Danny is a CPA with over 10 years of experience in the public accounting profession. He is specialized in providing personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory services for privately held, owner-managed businesses of all sizes.
Danny has developed this experience while working with one of the world's largest public accounting firms for over 6 years, where he was afforded the opportunity to work with some of the GTA's leading private companies.
Danny's breadth of experience includes providing tax compliance and planning services for corporations, joint ventures, partnerships and individuals as well as the development of estate plans and corporate reorganizations.
Danny is currently leading the firm's taxation practice, servicing clients spanning several industries across the GTA.

Mohammad Islam
Manager
Mohammad has nearly 10 years of experience working in public practice, with a specific focus on audit and review engagements, accounting services and taxation for small and medium sized owner-managed businesses.
He has developed this experience while working for one of the world's largest accounting firms as well as with smaller CPA firms that heavily focus on building relationships with clients. His critical thinking ability and helpful manner allows him to form close relationships with his clients, enabling him to have a better understanding of the specific needs of their businesses. Mohammad truly cares about clients and ensures both their business and personal needs are met.
After graduating from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Mohammad began his accounting career directly in public accounting. Mohammad is well versed in several industries including project management, retail and distribution, agriculture, manufacturing and professional services and he is actively pursuing his CPA designation.
Lisa Jiang
Staff Accountant
Lisa commenced her accounting career in 2014 working as a bookkeeper and accounting manager for several small and medium sized owner-managed businesses prior to joining the D&B team in 2017. Currently, Lisa is focused on providing full-cycle accounting services to many of the firm’s clients, spanning various industries including construction, manufacturing, the auto industry, and not-for-profits.
Lisa works closely with clients ensuring accurate and timely preparation of HST returns, WSIB returns, source deduction remittances and EHT filings. In order to complete these tasks, Lisa is in constant communication with her clients, and consequently, has formed close relationships with many of them in this capacity. In addition, Lisa is also well versed in the carrying out of Compilation Engagements and their accompanying financial statements.
Lisa’s dedication to excellent client service and her ability to find solutions for her client’s is admirable and is what ultimately makes her a valued part of the team.
Lisa is currently enrolled as a CPA student with CPA Canada and is actively pursuing her CPA designation.
Estrella Migrino
Staff Accountant
Estrella is a member of the Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (CPB Canada) and has over 20 years of experience in providing professional accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and other related financial services to small and medium sized owner-managed businesses. In addition, Estrella has extensive experience in the preparation and filing of personal income tax returns and is often called upon to provide training and support to other staff members at the firm in this capacity.
Estrella also has a multitude of experience in dealing with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and other government organizations. Estrella is frequently in communication directly with the CRA in handling their requests for information and enquiries relating to various government filings including GST/HST, payroll and source deductions or income tax requests.
Ultimately, Estrella has formed strong bonds with many of the firm’s clients due to her patience, kind nature and general care for her client’s well being.
In addition to being passionate about her career and an individual who has dedicated herself to providing excellent client service, Estrella is also a family-oriented grandmother who enjoys spending time with family and friends in her free time.
